Here are the pictures from the kids' photo session with the photographer on base that I have been knitting photo props for.
The night before the shoot the photographer messaged me and asked if I had a headband for Vivien. Of coruse I didn't, so I stayed up far too late making one out of scrap yarn I had lying around. The flowers only stayed on for a couple shots--they were a little too bulky to stay clipped into Vivi's fine hair. Worry not--the effort was not wasted. I sewed them on her youchien hat so it no longer gets mixed up with the other kids'.We had to be at the park at 7 in the morning for the sunrise light (which meant we had to be ready and leave by 6:45). I was really worried they wouldn't make it through the session, but they were angels and were so happy the whole time.
Probably because I make hilarious faces and noises.
The first professional pictures of Rafe that have ever been taken . . . poor second child :)
I feel like he's saying "WASSAP?" or something horribly bro-like in this picture . . .
It was SO COLD. The photographer edited out all the red noses, but they were definitely there.
The leaves were just like this on the ground. Such a cool location.
This is the closest to Rafe's real smile that we got. She had to swap out a Vivi face for one from a different picture. It kind of worked.
I love this one of Vivi.
Sweet baby faces.
Seriously, I am so funny.
And look! Even though I have stained jeans and greasy hair and no makeup, my kids still like me!
