More pictures of my Merry Boy

I totally dropped the ball after I had Rafe and didn't get any pictures taken of him as a newborn, so I have been trying to learn from my mistakes and at least get everyone else.  Sorry Rafe buddy.
There's a girl in my ward who's getting a photography business going (she's married to a submariner, just had her first baby, and they're trying to get through school), so we had Merrick be her second newborn client. We just took them at home in our bedroom, which I tried to prepare using tricks I learned from the photographer who did Annie's (white noise, room stiflingly hot, as much natural light as possible, etc.)  We did ok.  And there is photographic evidence of this baby that is nicer than it would've been on my iPhone.  Enjoy!
Hair
Ears that haven't quite unfurled yet
Knuckle dimples!
Tiny toes and hairy legs
I had big goals of knitting a blanket for his pictures, but all I succeeded in finishing was a little corner of it.  The triangle ended up being just big enough to lay over his belly and get the edges tucked underneath.  It worked fine.  Less blanket=better view of his furry shoulders.
After I started making the blanket I remembered that Tia Kate had already sent me a darling one that gave us a bit more to work with anyway.  Do I get to count that as a pun?  Cause it was a full blanket instead of a corner of a blanket?  Eh?  Eh?  Errr . . . Quick!  More pictures of the adorable baby to make up for the poor humor!

When I made the appointment I told the photographer I didn't want to be in the pictures, but I got sneaked into them anyway.  And now I look at them and kick myself for not wanting to be in the pictures.  I love to see me with my babies.  This always happens.  I really just need to plan on being photographed with my children, and then I can make sure my hair actually gets washed for moments like this that are now frozen in time forever . . .
Pffff, who washes their hair anyway?
Ain't nobody got time for that.  Too busy catching every second of shut eye we can squeeze in.
