8:30--Sitting at breakfast with Vivien and realized I could feel my contractions in my lower back and that they were regularly 5 minutes apart.
9:00--Jumped in the shower and did my hair!
9:30--Called my mom who encouraged me to get to the hospital. NOW.
9:50--Told Drew (as he was tying his tie) that he should not go to his meetings and come to the hospital with me instead.
10:00--Headed to ward choir to drop Vivien off with the Crofts.
10:30--Got to the hospital and waited for the doctors to finish their rounds.
11:00--Saw the resident who pronounced me dilated to a 6 and fully effaced. Transferred to the L&D room, got my IV placed.
1:30--Anesthesiology resident placed my epidural
2:05--Had my water broken and the resident said I was ready to push. My nurse asked for 15 minutes to chart and finish getting everything set up.
2:11--Started pushing
2:33--Rafe was born!
